Unfit

I just had a confrontation with one of our educators in
our public school system. These people are suppose to
be molders of our kids, but how can they , when they
themselves need molding.
They are responsible for educating our children, and
some do not care enough to get in touch with the
parents to relate what is going on with your child.
I tried to ask this"person" about my child and she
got an attitude. They some times have no people
skills. they need to be retrained every year.
We as parents need to keep a close watch on what is
going on in our childs classroom.
Do not get me wrong, not all teachers are bad, some
are exceptional, but some take the job just for the
paycheck, not as a vocation. I will not give up on
the education system though.

Say no evil

It has come to my attention, that kids of today have
a lot more idle time on there hands than kids of old.
They also feel they have more freedom of speech,
especially to their parents.
Back then you were very cautious about what you say to your
parents. Kids now, they open their mouth, and *%#@ falls out,
and they try to convince you that you have no concept of what
is going on with them. It takes alot of restraint on our part
to keep from loosing it.
But I will persevere .

Simple pleasures

I guess because valentine's day is coming up
I have been thinking about some of the most
romantic moments and places I have been in, and
one particular time and place came to mind, it makes
me smile. Years ago when I was in Jamaica, my friends
and I use to have annual bus trips to other parts of the
island. on one of these occasions me and my guy
(now my husband) found ourselves in a club/bar all by our
lonesome, except for the bartender, the right music was playing
and it was like we were the only ones in love.
I am sure everyone has a story they can relate to.
Simple things, gives simple pleasure :)

Catching up

Its been a while, but I am still here
I spent the last month trying to catch up
with friends and family. But of course I
had to take time out to watch the inauguration
of my president, it was wonderful. I am sorry I
could not make it there, it was just too much
people(4 million).
A new era has begun.
